How was the mom sweater made ?

It was made using a script called "Slide Knit", which allows using UV's as a skinning reference for meshes. The simulated mesh was done in Marvelous Designer, and then imported in 3DS Max. There, I modeled real wool patterns, and used the UVs made in Marvelous as the skinning source.

The wool then morph over the simulated sweater, and followed the simulation the way it was already simulated in Marvelous, over the animation cache.
